At Indian Hill Church Nursery School, we believe children gather information and learn through their play. Our philosophy is preschool learning and social development takes place in an atmosphere of sharing and understanding. Our teachers encourage children’s individual strengths and guide their emotional, social and intellectual growth through a variety of daily activities and special events. Our non-denominational curriculum incorporates Ohio’s Early Learning and Development Standards attracting a wide variety of families from several local communities.
We incorporate several enrichment programs into our regular classroom curriculum to give students a well-rounded experience. In addition to weekly music classes, our students enjoy monthly naturalist visits in our unmatched beautiful wooded setting, visits from Cincinnati’s Schoolhouse Symphony, a walking field trip to the Fire Station, a visit from a Native American, and an end of the year ice cream social. Special events include Special Person Night, Halloween Parade, our annual Thanksgiving feast and a Winter Holiday Party.
