Taking advantage of our unique, natural setting, Tess Mulrey meets with our threes, fours, and preschool plus classes each month.  Each hour presentation includes a 30 minute indoor session followed by a 30 minute hike and exploration of our grounds.  Past topics have included:

    • Salamaders.

Tess MulreyTess Mulrey, Naturalist, joined the IHCNS staff in 2015. Tess recently moved back to her hometown of Cincinnati after completing her M.S. degree in Biological Sciences at Illinois State University, where she studied the behavior of burying beetles. Before graduate school, Tess worked as a Naturalist for Metroparks of Butler County, as an educator at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden, and a biological technician intern at Big Oaks National Wildlife Refuge. Among her favorite hobbies are hiking, camping, cooking, and just about anything outdoors. Tess loves to explore the nature around her, and is excited to share her passion!”
